Une Nuit à Cafe La Pasion
We had a wonderful dinner at Cafe La Pasion at Darlinghurst last night. About a week ago, we had such a lovely lunch here that we decided to try their set dinner menu. If you are after a place which will defy the stubbornest taste buds, whilst offering service with a warm and friendly smile and set in the Victorian-esque Darlinghurst – this is the place to be.

I ordered the three course menu with the Creme Brulee and Nic got the two course with the sinfully delicious sounding “Chocolate Fantasy”. My entree was a savoury parmesan souffle with salad – the souffle was more quiche than souffle but the dressing had a nice kick which did a great job in waking up my taste buds.

The set main for the night was Oats-seared Tuna Steak on a bed of risotto and seaweed salad. This was absolutement fantastique.

For drinks – the ever-appropriate-for-summer strawberry and citrus infused jasmine tea and a fraiche strawberry smoothie.

And the highlights just keep coming – cinnamon glazed Apple Tart ‘La Pasion’ with burnt fig ice cream, the delectacle “Chocolate Fantasy” consisting of raspberry chocolate fondue with stawberries, banana and vanilla ice cream and an exquisite Maple Syrup Creme Brulee served on a brandy snap basket with strawberries fraiche.

How can you fault with fantasy?
